MYOFASCIAL RELEASE INFORMATIONAL

SEMINAR—FREE

JUNE 20TH, 10:30 AM

Myofascial release therapy is based on the idea that illness/

inflamma!on, physical injury/trauma, poor posture, and

emo!onal stress can cause the body to go out of

alignment. It can then cause its intricate web of fascia (or

the connec!ve !ssues in the body that surrounds all of our

nerves, blood vessels, muscles, bones, and organs in the

body) to becomes taut, contracted, and distorted. Because

fascia surrounds all the cri!cal anatomy within us, the

skillful and dexterous use of the hands can free up, or

“release” disrup!ons in this fascial network, facilita!ng the

fascia to return back to its original healthy posi!on and

state. Pressure on the nerves, blood vessels, muscles,

joints, and even organs is relieved in the process - and

balance is restored resul!ng in the opportunity for the

allevia!on of pain and dysfunc!on. This process helps to

facilitate the body's innate ability to heal itself. My name is

Vijiya Rathod, and I am a cer!fied physical therapist. I’m so

excited to be able to share informa!on about this very

effec!ve therapeu!c op!on as well as offer an opportunity

for you to explore this first hand! Register for the FREE

informa"onal program at ARC or by calling 888-9099.

New Replacement Medicare Cards Are Coming

To help protect your identity, Medicare will be issuing new cards with 11 randomly assigned number & letters, replacing the Social Security numbers currently used. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid will begin mailing them in April, about 8 million per month, continuing through March of 2019. As the mailing is random, people in the same household may not receive the new card at the same time. Both the old card number plus the new one will work with medical services up till Jan 2020, allowing time for this large change to transition. Medicare asks that all people be wary of any phone calls claiming to be from Medicare or a medical provider and asking for your new number. Do not respond; Medicare only initiates contacts by mail. Also, please note that this change only impacts your Medicare claim number and has no effect on anyone’s Social Security card numbers.
