* REFLECTION *
GOD'S PROVIDENCE
1. God not only created the world and not only saves the world, but also governs the world through His wisdom, all-power and kindness. God's government upon the world and connec-tion with it- is God's Providence. God surrounds the whole world and all creatures with His care. God surrounds a man with special care. A man is the most perfect creature on the earth (created in the image of God) and a man has the highest and most difficult purpose, to reach the of en-trance to heaven. God surrounds all creatures in His care in an indirect way, through the help of the biological laws and through the medium of other crea-tures. When the ordinary measures were not sufficient to fulfill God's plans, then God makes miracles. God's providence doesn't free us from an obligation of work, care for ourselves and mutual help.
2. Existence of the physical evil, which exist as a consequence of the original sin (death, sickness-es, disasters) do not contradict with God's Prov-idence. God allows the existence of the physical evil in the world and uses its existence, because He wants to help us to reach the highest goal; salvation. Sufferings are punishment for our own sins and the sins of others, and gives us a chance to give satisfaction for the sins here on earth. Also those who are free from personal sins, are not free from the obligation of penance for the sins of the world, because we create One human family and bear consequence of sins all mem-bers of all human families. (similarly as for one prodigal man in a family, the whole family suffers). In misfortune our character is formed, very often in a more successful way, than in prosperi-ty and well-being. The most beautiful virtues become mature among sufferings and disasters. (For example: mercy, pity, dedication etc.)

Reflections on the Supernatural Virtue of Faith By Veronica Arntz
Reflecting on Pope Benedict XVI’s homilies on faith will both help us to re-new our faith and to discover that we are not alone in our pilgrimage to-ward Heaven; rather, we are constantly accompanied by Christ himself.
After calling the “Year of Faith”, Pope Benedict XVI gave a series of homilies on the virtue of faith, which are in a short volume published by Ignatius Press, entitled, The Transforming Power of Faith (2013). These homilies can be useful for reflecting on the virtue of faith as we strive to live more deeply Christ’s call to trust in him always.
Faith is always a gift from God. As Benedict explains, “We can believe in God because he comes close to us and touches us, because the Holy Spirit, a gift of the Risen One, enables us to receive the living God. Thus faith is first of all a supernatural gift, a gift of God” (p. 16). Faith is not something we acquire by our own power; rather, it is a gift from God that we receive if we are open to his grace and the promptings of the Holy Spirit. This further explains how faith is more certain than science: God himself gives us faith. He is the one offer-ing us the gift to believe in him and trust him.

THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic.
Z ŻYCIA KOŚCIOŁA 1. Bóg zawsze broni i nie zapmina wołania tych, którzy Go szukają. Pozwala się nazywać Ojcem i
umacnia w naszych sercach ducha przybranych dzieci. Bóg objawia się Eliaszowi, poleca wstać posilić się przed długą drogą. Zobaczcie jak nas Pan jest dobry. Naśladujmy Boga, który objawia swoją miłość. Nie szemrajcie! Jam jest chlebem żywym... Kto spożywa ten chleb, będzie żył na wieki.

2. continued...Cataclysm in nature develops spiritual powers of a man and mobilizes him to correct the con-ditions of his life, and it is not without influence on his spiritual and moral life. Suffering guards life (for example: high temperature sends a signal that an organism is possessed by heavy sickness). Also not everything that we see as evil is really evil. This which is evil for an individual, for the nation can be good. (for example, death in the battle for the soldiers is something bad and not acceptable but in the eyes of Nation – it is heroism). We also ought to remember that the evolution of life on the earth is not ended. If some fragments of this evolution appears evil, it can be for this that we don't know the last development of life on the earth.
3. Existence of the moral evil (sins) on the world also does not contradict with God's Providence. Sins appear because a man abuses his free will, which a man received from God. A man is responsible for his bad choices, for his sins, which leads to evil on all humanity. The Goodness of the Lord is so great, that his kindness removes sins, returning the result of evil for His glory and for the salvation of all people. (Because of sin, God reveals to us His attributes: justice, patience, mercy). A man after sinning can better understand his sinfulness, his anger, and better express his sorrow for sins. And with the help of God's grace a man can change his life. The example of this interior transformation under the influence of the consciousness of their sins – they are Saints, who were sinners (for example, St. Mary Magdalene, St. Augustine, and the Good Thief).

“The time you spend with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is the best time you will spend on earth” ...St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta
August 15. Wednesday Mass at 9:30am & 7:00pm.
The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, reminds humanity of our vocation to the heavenly glory. A great sign – a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon beneath her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. The Immaculate Virgin Mary, body and soul, was assumed into heavenly glory, invites and motivates us that we always be attentive to the things that are above. May we merit to be sharers of her glory. A woman clothed with the sun, as a bride in a wedding; a beautiful, white robe. A white, bright, wedding robe, speaks that this person is inviola-ble for others. She is predestined to a husband. Any other man can make
her dirty, defile her. Mary clothed with the sun, is predestined to be the Mother of God's Son, and today her Son bears her into heaven, as his Mother with His own hands, as the most perfect fruit of the earth. Amazed with the whole Church we recognize and profess: “The Queen stands at your hand, arrayed in gold”
If for any reason you cannot pray, relax, the desire to pray is already a prayer.
