Reflection : AHMAD ASYRAF BIN ABDUL GHAZAK 7PISMP TESL 1

The coursework task for the subject “ Counselling and Guidance (EDU3037)” is

divided by two major part. The task quite difficult for me but I could managed the task by

collaborative with my friends. Counselling actually involved with human which is the

complex living thing in this world. Thus, to face and overcome the problems, I use my

past experience to deal with the variety of people’s attitude and behaviourism. I also

managed to finish the task with my practicum partner, Azrul Hafiz Sham.

Through the coursework briefing, we were told that we may do the task in a

group of 4 students. However, as we were not in the same school, my partner and I

decided to work it in pair. We had discuss together and separate the work as to find the

information and it really help us to make our task become easier. I surf in the internet to

understand the theories and decide which theory to solve the student’s problem.

Besides, I also read my notes on classroom management and a few book from school

library.

In completing this coursework, I have to face a lot of problem. One of my problem

is my laptop always hang and turn into blue screen during writing the essay. Besides, I

also sometimes confusing with my work as I need to finish a lot of other work at the

same time. However, I could finish my work by spend less on the time for sleep and

exercise during in the evening. Another problem is about choosing the suitable book for

this assignment as reference. As I in practicum period, it really hard for me to find the

book in the library. This is because, I always come back from the school around 3 p.m.

as teachers ask help from me to do a lot of work. If I refuse the work, it will make the

teachers become quite friendly with me.

As I finished the task, I dare to tell that I learn a lot of new things and got a few

experience. I felt satisfied with my work even though problems come over me. I think, is

not easy to deal with the human and we need to understand them before we give the

counselling and guidance. I am sure that the knowledge that I learn from this

coursework would help me in understanding my students in future.
