As President of the Quest Board of Directors, I wanted to make sure Quest was growing with a purpose, not just growing for the sake of growth. To provide some guidance and structure, a goal was created to double the amount of engaged customers within Quest by 2016. This is the basis for everything Quest is doing currently and everything you will see Quest do in the next two years.
Time and time again, studies have shown that customers are more satisfied with their Oracle product when involved in a user group. An increase in engagement for our PeopleSoft and JD Edwards community creates a better Oracle product, improved results and therefore an increase in overall satisfaction. Engagement in Quest = greater satisfaction with Oracle investments which means you are getting greater ROI on your Oracle product when you and your company leverage user group activities.
The more members that join the community, the more beneficial and vibrant it is in terms of networking opportunities, best practice sharing, and the gathering of the collective voice to influence product direction – a key element to sustaining satisfaction. With a larger, more vibrant community, members also receive increased support from Oracle and business partners. For them, a more engaged, invested community means retained customers and increased development of the products. For everyone, a more engaged, vibrant community means enhanced services from Quest, as our objective is to generate a dividend in the form of improved services to our members.
The Quest Board is committed to fulfilling this mission and achieving these objectives by investing time, money and effort towards this initiative:
We have made significant investments in technology, to help us tailor messages and content to what each customer wants so you don’t have to wade through irrelevant messages (currently in implementation phase).
Added staff to support Online Learning, website usability/content and users groups so that you can get the content and networking you want on your schedule.
Invested in enhanced website support so that you can find the content and people you need when you need them.
What does this mean for you? Take a look at the image to the right and see which resources you are using. Then, take a look through this report to see how we are aligning our services and education to fit your needs and increase your community’s engagement.
To find out what the Quest community has to offer your company, contact the Quest membership team for a personalized needs analysis. They will show you how to get the most out of the resources available in order for you to make the best use of your products.
Thank you for a great year and I can’t wait to celebrate a more engaged community with you in 2016.
Patrick Kys

EVENTScommunity trend: Functional users have more ownership of product and need specific information. To meet that need we added additional content specific for that audience at our face-to-face events.
for 2014: We see a trend in more responsibility falling on newer employees with the later generations leaving the workplace. In response, we are exploring adding more professional development opportunities to help those employees step up their game.
New this year was a focus on financial functional content and breaking out the content between technical, functional and “techno-functional” users.
Next year we plan to add more HCM content and continue the increase in financial functional education.
