Film Review By Duncan L. Dieterly Red (2010) A delightful romp, of retired extremely dangerous, (RED); black operative CIA agents who are brought back into action by a recent political event. The pending potential election of a presidential candidate, who has a hidden shameful military past, triggers the action. Those who participated in cleaning it up the mess years ago are unaware of his role in the slaughter. Their boring existences are shattered when someone attempts to eradicate them and all the evidence of the buried event. Frank Moses who has been shyly courting a clerk, Sarah Ross, in the CIA pension office via phone takes their relationship to another level when he must kidnap her to insure her safety. Frank enlists the assistance of several other retired agents as well as a Russian arch enemy agent. They must determine why they are marked for termination, defend themselves, protect each other and resolve the issue of the presidential candidate all on their own against the entire CIA. They form a team of characters with impeachable espionage skills who accomplish their mission after much effort, shooting, fighting and clever maneuvering. An exciting, fast paced, humorous adventure tale; well worth watching.
