GREEN tips from Student CouncilAs designers,we should practice what we preach.

• Carpool/ride a bike whenever possible - saves on gas and helps the parking situation on campus.

• Invest in a reusable water bottle with lid - creates less waste.

• Save scraps of material in studio in a community scrap box - why throw it away when someone else from your studio can use it.

• Reuse grocery bags as poopy bags to clean up after pets.

• Find a way to recycle your studio models (or base) - do not leave it up to the school to get rid of it.

• Create an electronic portfolio via a website - online your portfolio can be as many pages as needed.

• Turn o� your monitors, and lights when leaving a room, if possible. Screen savers don’t save energy- it actually costs $50/yr in energy usage!
