These unusual products are made in a Fair Trade workshop in Moradabad, Northern India.

The recycled bicycle chains the artisans use to make these products come from two sources: 60% are collected from bicycle repair centres and 40% are cut-offs/loose waste from factories and big shops.

Such quirky products always catch customers’ attention and are excellent gifts for men and all passionate cyclists!

Bezalila was formed in 1994 as a co-operative for workshops making Malagasy handicrafts.

One of our most popular ranges, these models are all made from recycled tin cans.

Bezalila has 18 workshops, providing Fair Trade employment to formerly impoverished artisans in crafts such as weaving, woodwork, bone carving, and modelling recycled tin cans, called “Kapoaka” in Madagascar.

What could be a better example of recycling than to make glasses out of old bottles? This exciting Fair Trade range is produced in Tanzania. Recycled Fair Trade produced in Africa: these products make perfect gifts!

The top half of the bottle and the base is used to make the glasses, and the bottom half to make the tumblers.

Please note: the bases of the wine glasses are glued and not fused so this product is not suitable for high temperature washes in dishwashers. We are working with the supplier to source new glues to provide an even better product for the future.
