Designing and ordering a reception desk

The Fray modular reception system consists of 3 ranges, Eshton, Linton and Hetton. Each range consists of modules which can be connected together to make desks of varying shapes and sizes.

Simply select desk modules to create a layout that suits your clients requirements. Decide if any of the modules need to be counter height (the Hetton range is always counter height), add any extras such as end panels or light boxes and finally, decide on a finish. Using the prices in the catalogue you can then calculate the total cost for the selected reception desk.

CAD blocks of all modules are available, we can also provide 1:50 card templates of the modules to be used in conjunction with the graph paper at the back of this brochure.

To the right you will see an example desk and the modules that go together to make it. This shows what is required for you to cost a desk and the information we require with an order.

When ordering we will require the list of modules you require, details of the required finish, and a basic layout drawing.

Top and End panels manufactured in 38mm thick composite board for lightness and rigidity. Straight modesty panels in 18mm mdf and curved modesty panels manufactured in formed ply.

Optional glass tops are 12mm clear toughened with satin chrome plated supports.

Desk stands on simple stainless steel adjustable feet. Each module has 2 wire management ports with an allowance for wire management between each module.

We offer 4 melamine finishes, you can either select one of the melamines to be used on the whole desk or select 2 contrasting melamines to be used as per the visuals in this brochure.

Please note that the white melamine can only be used as a contrasting finish on the front panels.

We offer 3 standard veneer finishes, you can either select one of the veneers to be used on the whole desk or select 2 contrasting veneers to be used as per the visuals in this brochure.

We can also manufacture in special finishes, veneers and laminates of your choice. This would however need to be costed by our sales team as a special order.

All the veneers are finished with 10% matt contract grade lacquer.
