The scheme has transformed the lives and dreams of many youth/ entrepreneurs from the Islands through its financial assistance. A lot of people from A&N Islands have promote Mental Health and to rehabilitate Persons with Mental Illness has envisaged a 24 hours 7 days a week toll-free Mental Health Rehabilitation Helpline (MHRH) named 'KIRAN'. This 24x7- helpline provides all- round help for the people who are suffering from mental health through a toll-free helpline number (1800-599- 0019) . This facility has been implemented initially through 25 Institutions spread across the Country. Mental Health Rehabilitation Helpline 'KIRAN' operational at CRC Brookshabad Mental Health Emergency provided 24×7 Staff Reporter Port Blair, Feb. 21 Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakaram (JSSK) is an initiative to provide completely free and cashless services to pregnant women including normal deliveries and caesarean operations and sick new born (up to 1 year after birth) in Government health institutions in both rural & urban areas. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), GoI launched JSSK on 1st June, 2011 in view of the difficulty being faced by the pregnant women and parents of sick new- born along-with high out of pocket expenses incurred by them on delivery and treatment of sick newborn. The scheme is to benefit pregnant women who access Government health facilities for their delivery. Moreover, it will motivate those who still choose to deliver at their homes to opt for institutional deliveries. According to data received from Directorate of Health Services, entitled benefits were extended to institutional (Contd. on last page) Access to services at Govt. health facilities 'Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakaram': Providing free & cashless services to pregnant women & sick newborns 3595 beneficiaries received benefits during 2019-20 in A&N Islands deliveries under JSSK and altogether, 3595 beneficiaries received benefits during 2019- 20 under this scheme in A&N Islands. The scheme has eliminated out of pocket expenses incurred by the pregnant women and sick new born while accessing services at Government health facilities. The free entitlements for pregnant women includes free and cashless delivery, free C-Section, free drugs and consumables, free diagnostics, free diet during stay in the health institutions, free provision of blood, free transport from home to health institutions, free transport between facilities in case of referral and free drop back from Institutions to home after 48 hrs stay. So far, 2242 units generating 5730 employment have been set up by availing the benefits of PMEGP. Special emphasis has been given to women, Scheduled Tribes, OBC, Physically Handicapped and ex-servicemen under the scheme. In order to simplify the process under the scheme, the Ministry of MSME, GoI has discontinued the system of selection of beneficiaries and recommendations of proposals / applications by the DLTFC to streamline the process of selection and expedite the flow of applications under PMEGP scheme. Accordingly, from this financial year onwards, the Programme Implementing Agencies viz. ANIKVIB & DIC are forwarding applications directly to the financing banks for credit decision after preliminary scrutiny and examining the personal and factual details mentioned in the application including project report etc. The details of the simplification in the PMEGP guidelines have already been published in print & electronic media for its wider reach. In addition, the details of the probable activities which could be financed under PMEGP scheme have also been published for the knowledge of general public and aspiring entrepreneurs from the Islands. Further, to mobilize more and more youth to become Atmanirbhar, the Industries Department under the guidance of Secretary (Industries) is taking various steps including disseminating information on PMEGP and ventures available under the programme at PRI level. As against the target of 96 units proposed to be financed under the PMEGPScheme for the current financial year 2020-21, and on constant review at the level ofSecretary (Industries) altogether 412 projects were sponsored to different scheduledcommercial financing banks till 12/02/2021. Out of these, 412 sponsored cases, 205projects have already been sanctioned by banks of which 101 projects have beenfinanced with a total financial involvement of Rs. 448.64 lakh as total project cost.Out of these 101 financed cases, margin money subsidy of Rs. 103.29 lakh havebeen released in favour of 89 projects with an anticipated employment generationof 205 persons by these units. In another incident, PS Hutbay team arrested one accused namely Biman Paul S/oShri Bimal Paul, (34Yrs) residing at R.K. Pur, Little Andaman with 630 grams ofmethamphetamine from his garden. A case U/s 22 (C) of NDPS Act 1985 has beenregistered against the accused. The entire raid took place under the Supervision ofShri Abishek Gupta, SDPO (Swaraj Dweep). It is to mention here that these drugs got washed to the shores of the Islands from theMyanmarese vessel which was intercepted by the Indian Coast Guard in 2019.Possessing this deadly drug is a serious offence punishable with rigorous imprisonmentfor a term of 10 to 20 years. Till date from the interception of the Myanmarese vessels,a total of 537 kg 163 gms of methamphetamine has been recovered from the shores andthrough registration of NDPS Act cases against those trying to sell this drug. Meanwhile, the general public have been requested to share information pertainingto any crime or other illegal activities to police at 112, 03192-232100 & 03192-233077.The identity of the informant will be kept secret, a press release from SPSA said.

Village Community (VCs) / Mahila Mandals (MMs) / Panchayat Raj Institutions (PRIs) as per the interim order of the Hon’ble

Supreme Court and the direction issued by the Ministry of

Women and Child Development, Govt. of India. Willing supplier of supplementary nutrition should be registered under the Food

Safety and Standard Act. All willing suppliers are requested to contact the undersigned to the collect the list of SNP articles,
