intent or reason for their attendance. This includes, but is not

limited to: drivers, crew, passengers, spectators, workers and

volunteers.

1.1.2. Competitor/Competitors shall hereafter refer to any and all

individuals present at any Real Time Attack event for the purpose of

competing in the actual Time Attack event.

1.1.3. Participant/Participants shall hereafter refer to any and all

individuals present at any Real Time Attack event for the purpose of

active participation. This includes, but is not limited to: drivers,

crew, passengers, spectators, workers and volunteers.

1.1.4. Crew/Crews shall hereafter refer to any and all individuals

present at any Real Time Attack event for the purpose of directly

supporting a specific driver/team/car in any way such as, but not

limited to: mechanical assistance, external timing assistance, tuning

and coaching.

1.2. Liability

1.2.1. “The price of man in motion is the occasional collision.” – Carol

Smith

Racing is an inherently dangerous sport. As such, it is every

Page 3: Real Time Attack_Rules and Regulations March 7,2011

attendee’s responsibility to understand and accept this inherent

level of risk. While Real Time Attack will make all efforts to provide a

safe and secure environment for all attendees, risk can only be

mitigated and never completely removed. Therefore, in no way does

Real Time Attack guarantee or imply that death, injury or financial

loss will not occur as a result of attendance or participation.

1.2.2. It is solely the responsibility of each competitor to ensure and

monitor the safety and roadworthiness of his/her vehicle or vehicles.

1.3. Authority

1.3.1. All competitors expressly agree to be governed by the

determinations and interpretations of these rules and regulations

made by Real Time Attack officials.

1.3.2. Real Time Attack officials present at the event are the final

deciding authority regarding the enforcement, interpretation and if

deemed necessary, modification of these rules.

1.3.3. The Real Time Attack Rules and Regulations are intended to

ensure that events are conducted in a manner that is as fair as

possible for all competitors and consistent with the need for prompt

and final determination of competition outcomes. On occasion,

circumstances will be presented that are either unforeseen or are

otherwise extraordinary, in which strict application of these

regulations may contradict this intent. In such circumstances, Real

Time Attack officials will be the determining authority. Every effort

will be made to honor the spirit and intent of the competition to

provide the most equitable and legitimate determinations and

interpretations.
