Research Question: Does the price of organic dairy justify
it’s health benefits?
Analysis of: Prices Nutrition
Our group gathered data from Safeway comparing price and nutritional information for commonly purchased dairy products.
Fact or fiction?
Organic milk is said to have higher nutritional value than non-organic milk. Is this true?
Pro Organic Studies
“When scientists compared the fat content of 22 brands of milk sold in British supermarkets, the organic bottles and cartons came out on top.” (Mulder, 2011)
“It is thought that the high grass content of the animals’ diet leads to more nutritious milk.” (Mulder, 2011)

Cost is a big factor for many families when deciding what to eat.

When added together the cost was almost double for organic dairy.
Overall the total cost:– Organic: $24.64– Non-organic: $13.54.

Conclusion
Organic dairy is no healthier than non-organic dairy therefore the cost is not worth it.
The cost of organic products can not be substantiated by its claimed nutritional benefits because there is no significant difference between the two.
