STRAWBERRIES

Strawberries belong to the genus Fragaria in the rose family. There are 12 species of strawberry plants. The common wild strawberry, Fragaria

vesca, is believed to be the first

Species cultivated in the early 17th

century. California is the largest

producer of domestically grown

strawberries, supplying almost 90% of the strawberries grown in the U.S. Strawberries are high in Vitamin C

which helps reduce cell damage and

keep the immune system healthy!
