PASTORAL COUNCIL Our St Luke Pastoral Council is made up of 12 members who work with the pastor to guide
the pastoral life of the parish. Each of the members serves a three year term and four positions are
open each year. Once again we will be doing a discernment process at next Sunday's masses.
We will ask you to recommend persons or volunteer yourself to serve a three year term on the
council. We look for people with love of God and of our parish, with generous hearts and
willingness to serve. We ask all to pray for our parish and our discernment process in preparation
for the nominating on Sunday, May 7.
CONSEJO PASTORAL Nuestro Consejo Pastoral de San Lucas está compuesto por 12 miembros que trabajan junto con
el padre. Para guiar la vida pastoral de la parroquia. Cada uno de los miembros tiene un mandato
de tres años y cuatro posiciones están abiertas cada año. Una vez más haremos un proceso
de reconocimiento en las misas del próximo domingo. Nosotros les pedimos que recomiende
a personas o que se ofrezca como voluntario para servir un término de tres años en el consejo.

Today is the last day at St. Luke for our seminarian,
Deacon John Kucera. He will be graduating soon
from Mount Angel Seminary and will prepare for his
ordination to the priesthood for the Diocese of Boise
on June 8. Many thanks to God and Deacon John
and let us accompany him with much prayer.

We will once again begin with our Middle School Youth Group. It will meet every

portion of the proceeds goes to the school. You get the full value of the gift card and the school
receives a percentage back from the vendor.

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN FOR ST. LUKE PARISH AND SCHOOL
ln recent months we have been working up to a one or two year capital campaign to address some specific needs in our facilities. The one that will be addressed first is to rework our stained glass windows in the church. The other two would ideally be done in relation to one another redoing
the roof of the school and the heating system of the school. Some donations have already come in and we have begun to build up a special fund for these projects. A matching grant of $25,000 for
the heating system has been matched with 425 raised by the paddle bids at our very successful school auction. We hope that you will begin planning in anticipation of the upcoming campaign.
Donations can be marked as "CAPITAL CAMPAIGN”
Cemetery Clean-Up Day Memorial Day is fast approaching and once again it is time for
the St. Luke Cemetery clean-up day. It is scheduled for Saturday,
May 20th from 9:00am to 1:00pm. All are encouraged to join us in
pruning, spreading bark dust, and general beautification.
Please bring gloves, shovels, clippers, wheelbarrows and anything
you may have that can be used for landscaping.
Memorial Day services will be held at the cemetery at 9:00am
on Monday, May 29th weather permitting.
We will be hosting donuts and coffee following the mass.
Please remember, you are welcome to visit the cemetery any time.
