Reader Profile

By looking at the answers I got from my survey and the readers profiles from the magazines I have

analyzed, I have made a reader profile for my own magazine. This will be like a description of the average

target reader and the person I will need to get attention from.

Johanna is a 17 year old girl and currently she is a student at college. In her spare time she likes listening to

music and also to play music herself. She plays the guitar. Her favorite type of music is indie-pop, but she

also listens to other kinds of pop like for instance indie-rock and indie-folk. She spends a lot of money on

technology like digital cameras, computers and mobile phones. She also uses a lot of time on social media.

Her favorites are Facebook, Instagram and Youtube. Social media is an important way for her to

communicate with her friends. She cares also a lot about fashion and this is something she spends a lot of

money on. The fact that she is a student means that she does not have a lot of money left to buy magazines

therefore she does not buy magazines that often. There are also not that many magazines that appeal to her at

the moment, but I hope my magazine will do that. Johanna likes going to concerts, but she does not do it as

often as she wish she did. This is mainly because it is expensive.
