Mercury Rising is a movie of a 9- year old autistic boy named Simoen who breaks the super code that the National Security Agency (NSA) is protecting of. After NSA knows that Simeon breaks the code, NSA murdered his mother and father and Simeon also but Simoen by that time is not killed. That incident give way to the FBI agent named Art Jeffries to protect the boy from the murderer. This movie gives us an idea on how the management of autistic boy is. The mother and father of the boy conditioned the boy in his daily life such as after school drink his chocolate. With the aid of pictures and writings in his waist that his parents introduce to him, he can easily identify who are they such as that picture of his mommy, daddy, bus driver, etc. and also the writings such as dont talk to strangers. This signs gives that boy an idea on how to live with them. The boy is knowledgeable on how to solve puzzles. The parents of the boy give their child what he really wants such as books about puzzles, jigsaw and etc. by this the boy can strengthen his skills and enjoy also what he is doing. As the parents of Simeon died, Art is take charge of taking care of him. Art has a hard time of him because he is getting wild sometimes when he doesnt want something but he gives patience onto it so as the time pass by slowly he can manage the behavior of Simeon by knowing the behavior of Simeon, then adjust his behavior to him. Knowing and adjusting the behavior of Art towards Simeon helps to develop the trust onto them. Management of an autistic child is very difficult, in the sense that they are different from a normal one. This movie gives inputs on how to deal with this disorder. The parents have a very vital role on the management of this behavior because parents are our first teachers.
