he film tells a story of a woman who was cheated by her husband, suffered terribly, with a daughter who saw the true identity

of her father and tried to help herself to regain because she felt that all of those miserable things needs to stop.

TAs defined by Caplan, crisis is a psychological disequilibrium in a person who confronts hazardous circumstance that for him or her neither constitutes an important problem which he can for time being neither escape nor solve with her as to many problem resources. Slim suffered greatly and experienced a crises brought by her husband. A crisis which brought her many problems financially, emotionally and psychosocially. She experienced a crisis which is called psychiatric emergencies.

Slim did experience of what we call self-limiting in the things she usually does. Working with the people who surrounds her was hindered. Her relationship with her husband dramatically changed. It gave her trauma as an example is when every time the phone rings or there is someone knocking the door her husband always comes into her mind and she feels anxious and of what is happening. It would bring her to the state of hiding in a place or so.

Through the help of her family and friends, Slim realized that nothing will change if she does nothing. Because of that she stood and had training and returned to her husband what he deserves.

Also take note that Slim, during the crisis period, she experienced the help from others. Example is the help from her ‘father’ Jupiter which was given easily.

When talking about the phases of crisis, Slim felt the initial impact of the traumatic event when she felt psychosocial stress such as being hit by her husband, being helpless or anxious when she felt that she and her daughter are in a danger zone. She felt the rash of thoughts in her mind of what negative things might happen and what she’ll do in response.

She felt the disorganization with attack or retreat when she felt that she is helpless and felt the intense of what is happening in her world. She used several defense mechanisms like repression and denial. Repression, when she hides of what she feels to her daughter. Her self-esteem became threatened.

Emergency state with resolution or defeat, she felt this stage when she felt the repeat of the traumatic event of being hit again by her husband.

In the stage of breaking point, Slim felt miserable of the wrong occurrence of events.

The following are the crisis intervention in psychiatric emergency situations are: assessment of the individual and his current problems, determination of the therapeutic intervention, intervention, and resolution of the crisis and anticipatory planning for the future. The first one is the assessment in which the nurse will assess the level of the crisis and its existence (Rationale: To evaluate the precipitating factors and the person’s ability to cope). This can be through asking the client on his or her state of emotion.

The second step is to determine the therapeutic intervention. This is done to determine the applicable aid for the client in his or her level of understanding and give a good and effective nursing care.

The third step is to do our interventions such as assessing her feeling and his or her response. The nurse will give the client time to experience, recognize and experience his or her own emotions.

The fourth step is resolution in which the nurse helps the client to adapt the changes which will happen in a period of 6 weeks. The following questions can be asked:

1. Do you feel better?2. Did you feel that your families have been helped?3. Have they learned how to approach problem solving more effectively?4. Are previously unmet needs being recognized and satisfied in healthy, appropriate ways?5. Do the individuals feel able to make it on their own with their own resources?6. Does the crisis worker have positive feelings about the outcome?
