Any undergraduate student with a CSUB GPA or Overall GPA falling below 2.00 shall be placed on Academic Probation.
In accord with Executive Order 1038, each classification level (freshmen, sophomore, junior, and senior) shall have separate criteria for determining movement between academic standings.

Petition for Reinstatement: If you are academically disqualified, you must satisfy one of the
following conditions in order to apply for reinstatement: For lower division students (completed fewer than 90 quarter units): 1. have completed college work elsewhere or in CSUB Extended University and
brought their total college work completed to 90 or more quarter units with an overall grade point average of “C” (2.00) or better and demonstrated above average achievement in recent work; OR
2. have completed college work elsewhere or in CSUB Extended University and attained at least a “B” (3.00) average in not less than 15 quarter units in their most recent college coursework.
For upper division students (completed 90 quarter units or more): 1. have completed college work elsewhere or in CSUB Extended University and
earned at least a “B” (3.00) average in not less than 9 quarter units; OR 2. remained absent from the university for at least one year, during which time
they have remedied the conditions that contributed to their academic difficulty

SAP
GPA Financial Aid only considers your CSUB GPA
for SAP. Pace
Pace is your units earned divided by ALL your units attempted. This includes attempted transfer units as well.
Max Units Students may receive aid up to 270 attempted
units. The 270 attempted units includes transfer course
work.
Warning and Appeal Process
Warning Status When a student falls below the SAP
guidelines, they will be placed on a Warning Status. At this point the student is still eligible for aid and has one quarter to improve their status.
Suspended Status If the student fails to improve they will
be placed in a Suspended Status. The student must now petition in order to see if they are still eligible for aid.
