Since a software bug is detected and fixed then the software product should be re-tested to guaran-tee that the original fault has been removed with success. You should also think over testing for alike and connected defects.
Software tests should be repeatable to permit regression/re-testing testing.
Regression testing attempts to confirm that alterations have not caused unpremeditated negative side effects in the unchanged software (regression defects) and that the modified system still satis-fies its requirements.
It is performed since the software, or its environment, is modified.
