January 25, 2019 Re: BD Autoguard™ Winged Product Dear Valued BD Customer: This is to inform you of changes to the needle cover and packaging for winged configurations for some product numbers of BD Insyte™ Autoguard™ shielded IV catheters and BD Insyte™ Autoguard™ BC shielded IV catheters with blood control technology implemented early January 2019. Due to inventory levels at the distributor, it may take up to 6 months before you receive this product. Note that these changes do not impact the insertion or performance characteristics of the product. Needle cover change:

Needle cover length reduced by 20%.

Packaging changes:

The overall unit package is reduced by 15% and the shelf carton reduced by 12%. – Less packaging means less waste. – Smaller shelf carton packages allow BD and our distributors to increase the number of

cases per pallet. This will reduce the impact of shipping costs on our customers. Additional changes include:

o Updated BD Logo o Position of symbols
