Fall/Winter 2012 Adult Discipleship Opportunities on Sundays
Adult Class – Divine Conversations – Join MCC’s own Chaille Brindley for an accurate and insightful look at some of the most gripping moments in the Old Testament. It is astonishing to realize that the eternal God of all creation spoke to individuals in ancient times…and that he still speaks to his children today. Join us in room 35 for this interactive and conversational class that will help new and mature believers grow in their understanding and experience of God’s word.
Adult Bible Class – The Book of Luke. Join us in Room 35 beginning November 4th as we take a deeper look into the Book of Luke using
material from Community Bible Study. The cost for materials is $3. The study will include minimal weekly homework that is appropriate for anyone. To register, contact Stephanie Ashby,

Adult Bible Class – Spiritual Warfare. Veteran facilitators Roy & Jane Layman always lead a fun class with lots of participation. You're in a battle and your opponent is seeking to destroy you! How do you protect yourself against Satan's attacks? Dr. Jeremiah presents a field manual for the Christian soldier. Don't leave your spiritual protection up to chance. Learn to utilize the full armor of God and defeat the work of Satan in your life. Join us for this 9 week study in the Chapel Sundays at 9 am.
Mano-a-Mano – Our desire is to join in the journey that God has for you as a man. We have seen great healing, transformation and power come when men commit to be honest, vulnerable and open with each other. Women’s Class –Fall Message Series. This class will function as a group for ladies to discuss the church-wide fall message series. This ongoing class, facilitated by Vangie Hendrickson and others, meets in the Prayer Room at 9:00AM.
Women’s Class –Single or Worship at MCC alone. Join us for A Walk through the Psalms on Sunday mornings from 9-10:30 am in Pastor Pete’s office (#5). This class is open to women who are single, divorced, widowed, or who worship at MCC alone. Contact Carolyn Stroud for more information at 350-2560.
Marriage Class-The Art of MarriageIn this fresh new, media-guided event, couples have the opportunity to look at their relationship in a whole new way. Weaving instruction from respected pastors and Bible teachers together with compelling stories, humorous vignettes and more, The Art of Marriage will help couples apply what the Bible teaches about marriage in a powerful way. It’s practical, funny, and straight to the heart. This ongoing class meets in the MCC House
33 The Series “33 The Series” is a journey to authentic manhood as modeled by Jesus in His 33 Years on
Earth. This 6-week study unfolds God's manhood mandates for all men and offers a clear definition of authentic manhood that helps men on their journey. Each man will learn the four "faces" of manhood and how to anticipate and transition through the specific seasons of life. Discover Membership Seminar
Discover Membership is a 4-hour seminar offered at least six times each year. Participants will discover what the Church is really about and how important everyone’s role is in it. You will discover what makes Mechanicsville Christian Center a unique local church and a wonderful place for you and your family to grow in Christ. This seminar is both informative and relational.
Explore Life Classes
Explore Life is a three-session interactive experience offered on Sundays that will help you deepen your relationship with Jesus, build spiritually encouraging friendships, and help you get to know MCC better. It is our way of helping you maximize your spiritual and relational journey here at MCC.
Holy Spirit SeminarThe first half of this 4-hour seminar is an exploration of the Person and work of the Holy Spirit – who he is and what he does. It also includes discussion of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The second half of the class affords participants an opportunity to experience the Holy Spirit firsthand in an atmosphere of worship. This seminar is excellent for those seeking the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, the gifts of the Spirit, or a greater anointing for service.
Spiritual Gifts SeminarThis 4-hour, interactive and engaging seminar is a wonderful exploration of ones own motivational and spiritual gifts. We are confident that you will enjoy discovering your own unique shape for ministry and for life. These discoveries can lead to greater effectiveness and enjoyment in service to the Lord, at work, and even in your personal relationships.
