There are just 2 things I want to convey in my remarks on culture:

People have moved toward much more sophisticated notions of culture in economics, so this is really a bit of a strawman, esp if one thinks about economists who actually think about these things.There is some subtlety to the way things economists think about culture as equilibrium, which Ill talk about here, mainly with ref to 2 examplesCulture as commitmentWe cant write a perfect contract to describe our obligations to an organization
