Construction Schedule 1 shall be substantially complete and ready for OWNER use and pre-final inspec- tion within twenty-one (21) calen- dar days of June 1, 2021 or within twenty-one (21) calendar days of the date on which on-site work is started, whichever is earlier. 2. All construction schedules shall be finally complete and ready for final payment within thirty (30) cal- endar days of substantial completion. 3. Carried unanimously. Mrs. Perdue was not present to report. Mr. Heier reported we continue to monitor the progress of the on- line students and send out progress reports every two weeks. Some students are still falling behind and Mr. Heier may possibly look into offering online this summer. The sec- ond round of FastBridge screening is nearly complete with only 4 students left to test. Reading interventions for the 2021-2022 school such as Read180 and System44 will be used for tier 2 and tier 3 students. The MTSS committee is looking into how to build intervention times/periods into the grades 7 – 12 class schedule. We now have teacher openings in Math, English, Science and Business. We have received our student engage- ment results and are looking at how to improve emotional engagement specifically. We have also discussed strategies to build relationships with students. The NDSA testing will occur in core subject classrooms during the regular school day for grades 7, 8 and 10. The teachers have identified specific standards to focus on for the remainder of the school year. Still looking for baseball and softball umpires. We will be hosting the NWC Volleyball tourney, District Volleyball tourney and District Girls Basketball tourney in 2021-2022. Mr. Schafer reported the COVID-19 group met today to discuss how long to continue with the COVID-19 rules we have in place. It was decided to open up some school access through the use of fobs. Budgeting is more difficult than ever this year due to many fluctuations and teacher un- certainties. We have looked into various health insurance options and are preparing to begin negotiations with the teachers. We have run into a few issues with the construction of handrail on the north side of the building for snow and ice removal. Mr. Schafer will continue to work with the engineers on this issue. Dave Madison, Transportation Di- rector, gave the bus report. The third safety meeting will be scheduled in the next couple of weeks. The fourth safety meeting will include driver training. The random drug testing will be completed next week. Bus #10 is getting a new motor and will be placed on one of the Epping routes when returned. The suburban has a safety recall and is temporarily certi- fied to use until parts come in. The transportation shop needs a 10-ton floor jack. Madison has found one for approximately $1,300. Now is the time to look into getting a couple of new “used” buses, the trade in buses are up for sale. We will be providing two buses and drivers for the after prom party on Friday evening. Petition from the Ray Education Association was presented to be recognized as the negotiation unit. Pursuant to NDCC Section 15.1- 16-10, the Board of Nesson Public School District #2 recognizes as the appropriate negotiating unit all employees licensed to teach by the ESPB or approved to teach by the ESPB and employed primarily as classroom teachers. Discussion was held to set meet- ing date to approve negotiating unit and set first negotiations meeting. A special board meeting will be held on April 7, 2021 at 6 pm to accept the negotiating unit, set ground rules and begin a budget work session. An additional meeting will be scheduled upon consulting with the negotiating unit. Resignations were received from Michelle Dolan, Kyla Grandy and Owen Owens. Motion was made by Foss second by Kupper to accept the resignation from Kyla Grandy. Carried unanimously. Motion was made by Sigvaldsen second by Foss to accept the resignation from Owen Owens. Carried unanimously. Mo- tion was made by Olson second by Sigvaldsen to accept the resigna- tion from Michelle Dolan. Carried unanimously. The renewal of the Western Dakota Corp of Discovery Cooperative is due for the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years. Motion was made by Sigvaldsen second by Kupper to ap- prove the Western Dakota Corp of Discovery Cooperative for two years in the amount of $9,000 per for each year. Carried unanimously. School board election date is set for May 11, 2021 with polls open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motion was made by Foss second by Olson to appoint Virginia Watterson and Mary Kay Weyrauch as election judges and San- dra Larson and Lois Ann Daniel as election clerks. Carried unanimously. The 2021-2022 school calendar was tabled. Some students are still falling behind and Mr. Heier may possibly look into offering online this summer. The sec-ond round of FastBridge screening is nearly complete with only 4 students left to test. Reading interventions for the 2021-2022 school such as Read180 and System44 will be used for tier 2 and tier 3 students. The MTSS committee is looking into how to build intervention times/periods into the grades 7 – 12 class schedule. We now have teacher openings in Math, English, Science and Business. We have received our student engage-ment results and are looking at how to improve emotional engagement specifically. We have also discussed

strategies to build relationships with students. The NDSA testing will occur in core subject classrooms during the regular school day for grades 7, 8 and 10. The teachers have identified specific standards to focus on for the remainder of the school year. Still looking for baseball and softball umpires. We will be hosting the NWC Volleyball tourney, District Volleyball tourney and District Girls Basketball tourney in 2021-2022. Mr. Schafer reported the COVID-19 group met today to discuss how long to continue with the COVID-19 rules we have in place. It was decided to open up some school access through the use of fobs. Budgeting is more difficult than ever this year due to many fluctuations and teacher un-certainties. We have looked into various health insurance options and are preparing to begin negotiations with the teachers. We have run into a few issues with the construction of handrail on the north side of the building for snow and ice removal. Mr. Schafer will continue to work with the engineers on this issue. Dave Madison, Transportation Di-rector, gave the bus report. The third safety meeting will be scheduled in the next couple of weeks. The fourth safety meeting will include driver training. The random drug testing

will be completed next week. Bus #10 is getting a new motor and will be placed on one of the Epping routes when returned. The suburban has a safety recall and is temporarily certi-fied to use until parts come in. The transportation shop needs a 10-ton floor jack. Madison has found one for approximately $1,300. Now is the time to look into getting a couple of new “used” buses, the trade in buses are up for sale. We will be providing two buses and drivers for the after prom party on Friday evening. Petition from the Ray Education Association was presented to be recognized as the negotiation unit. Pursuant to NDCC Section 15.1-16-10, the Board of Nesson Public School District #2 recognizes as the appropriate negotiating unit all employees licensed to teach by the ESPB or approved to teach by the ESPB and employed primarily as classroom teachers. Discussion was held to set meet-ing date to approve negotiating unit and set first negotiations meeting. A special board meeting will be held on April 7, 2021 at 6 pm to accept the negotiating unit, set ground rules and begin a budget work session. An additional meeting will be scheduled upon consulting with the negotiating unit.

The renewal of the Western Dakota Corp of Discovery Cooperative is due for the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years. Motion was made by Sigvaldsen second by Kupper to ap-prove the Western Dakota Corp of Discovery Cooperative for two years in the amount of $9,000 per for each year. Carried unanimously. School board election date is set for May 11, 2021 with polls open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motion was made by Foss second by Olson to appoint Virginia Watterson and Mary Kay Weyrauch as election judges and San-dra Larson and Lois Ann Daniel as election clerks.
