Job Responsibilities
Interaction/coordination with RF O&Q, planning, Logistics, Transmission planning, Operations & Maintenance Center (OMC), Transmission & VAS team, Switch and IT department for smooth execution of projects and maintenance of all equipment installed in field.
Fault management and level one support to resolve the issues where possible. To carry out MW swapping, upgradation, protection, management plan to improve
transmission capacity. Initiate process corrections and improvements to reduce Cell site running expense De-bugging various network-related problems faced in acceptance testing and
consequently rectifying the same with the help of NOC. Monitoring, conducting functional tests and checking ECP norms of sites at alarm
terminal (Net term Sun OS 5.9) end and taking necessary actions for operation and maintenance of cell site’s Lucent BTS Preparation of Mop and processes for day to day operations
Worked on Clarity system to process service orders and work orders. Responsible for the configurational implementation related to BSS for both CDMA/GSM
network. Auditing and Updating Lucent CDMA ECP forms for optimization changes i.e. FCI, Cell2,
btseqp, cdhnl, cdhfl. Site creation, hardware addition, modification in database forms using NETerm. Involved in optimization activity based on the processed data. This involved antenna
down tilt, re orientation, neighbour list tuning etc.
Carried out the EVDO up gradation of CDMA Network. (Commissioning and hardware up gradation).
Daily reporting of alarms as per the escalation matrix to keep minimum downtime. Operation & Maintenance of GSM, CDMA, 3G cell sites. BTS up gradation (TRX upgradation, TMA addition.) BTS swapping, TRU expansion. BSC O&M (Configuration) Repeater feasibility & implementation.
Projects Undertaken
Mod 3 to 4.0B Swapout:- In this project the old lucent Modcell 3 BTS were swap out with new Modcell 4.0B to increase the capacity and reducing hardware. Responsible for complete integration and operation of new BTS along with troubleshooting.
1x Ev DO:- This is the most initiative launch from Reliance Communication in India, in ths project one complete carrier is been dedicated for data which enhances the data rate up to 2 Mbps (HSD) High Speed Data. Working as an team lead having a team of Five engineers responsible for installation & Commissioning of new hardware in the existing.
