But Cameron Art Museum has added one more significant event for the evening; the exhibition preview of American Impressionist paintings  Art Amo ng Friends: Fo ur Collections of American Art  in the Hughes Wing.  Art Among Friends: Four Collection s of American Art  features paintings and drawings from four private collections in North Carolina showing the evolution during 1880s-1940s of painting in America. This lush exhibition includes work by John Singer Sargent, Childe Hassam, William Merritt Chase, Robert Henri, John Sloan, Milton Avery and other prominent American Impressionists and Urban Realists. Curated by Jonathan Stuhlman Senior Curator of American, Modern, and Contemporary Art at the Mint Museum in Charlotte and organized by the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum. Opening Celebration Party in the Pines 6-9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22 Don your work attire or favorite holiday cocktail dress and join us for the Cape Fear Festival of Trees’ official grand opening event, Party in the Pines, on Friday, Nov. 22. Music performed by Grenoldo Frazier and Benny Hill, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and delicious holiday desserts are yours to enjoy among the magnificently decorated holiday trees and lights. Guests will have a chance to meet their favorite characters from the Wilmington School of Ballet’s “The Nutcracker.” Party in the Pines admission until Nov. 15 is $35, after Nov. 15 is $45. These tickets can be purchased online or at the CAM. Cape Fear Festival of Trees Cape Fear Festival of Trees runs from Nov. 23 to Dec. 8, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. featuring over 30 decorated trees and an extensive line-up of performances. General admission to the festival, ages 13 and older are $12, ages 5-12 are $6, and ages 4 and younger are admitted for free. Gallery admission is included in festival ticket price. Preview During Party in the Pines Opening for Cape Fear

Festival of Trees Friday Nov. 22 2013 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Wilmington, NC—With the musical line-up of Grenoldo Frazier and Benny Hill on Friday, Nov. 22, a

preview of Cape Fear Festival of Trees at Cameron Art Museum you might think that would be enough

aesthetic stimulation for one evening. But Cameron Art Museum has added one more significant event

for the evening; the exhibition preview of American Impressionist paintings  Art Among Friends: Four

Collections of American Art  in the Hughes Wing.

 Art Among Friends: Four Collections of American Art  features paintings and drawings from four private

collections in North Carolina showing the evolution during 1880s-1940s of painting in America. This lush

exhibition includes work by John Singer Sargent, Childe Hassam, William Merritt Chase, Robert Henri,

The Cameron Art Museum presents six to eight changing exhibitions annually; ongoing family and

children's programs; a unique program of tours for Alzheimer's patients and their caregivers; The

Museum School classes for adult and youth education; interdisciplinary programs (lectures, music, films,

literature, dance); Healthy Living Classes and ongoing workshops and classes in ceramics at the Clay

Studio with resident master artist Hiroshi Sueyoshi. The Cameron Art Museum also features its café,

CAM Café. Cameron Art Museum is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and from 10

a.m.-9 p.m. Thursday. CAM Café is open from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and from 5-9
