To yield 1,575,000 cu.ft. usable storage space using Insulwall IW-18XT,45,000 sq. ft. of cooler space is necessary. (35’ x 300’ x 150’)
Using Rigid panels, 45,600 sq. ft. is required to yield the same 1,575,000cu.ft. of usable storage space (35’ x 304’ x 150’).
Insulwall® saves you thousands of dollars in construction costs when used in place of rigid walls.

Insulwall® vs Rigid Panels
Cost Comparison of InsulWall vs. Rigid Wall New Building Construction
The installed cost of Insulwall in and of itself is significantly less expensive than the costof rigid walls. But that is only a portion of the cost saving your company benefits fromwhen they use Insulwall.
Rigid walls require curbs on each side of the wall for protection. The curbs run approxi-mately $45/lineal foot. No curbs are needed with Insulwall.
As the drawings in this section indicate, a refrigerated warehouse with 4 different tem-perature zones (3 walls) requires a building that is 4’ wider when using rigid walls (3 rigidwalls * 16” per wall = 4’). Estimates on footprint vary from building to building, but$75/sq. ft is a conservative cost figure.
Insulwall is much less expensive to ship than Rigid Walls, because it weighs less andtakes up less space.
Please consider the following factors when comparing the complete cost of choosingInsulwall vs. Rigid Walls:
IW-INSULWALL® RIGID WALL
Average Lead Time 3-4 weeks 4-6 weeks
Cost of Curbs per Running Foot No curbs Required concrete curbing on both wall sides
Loss of Productivity No cooler shutdown 2 weeks on...
Freight Method LTL Minimum 1 flatbed
Installation Method Self/Contractor Contractor
