Mathematics
1. Counting BackEach student has a Henrythe Octopus Board (seeattached Monday MathsSheet) and 20 little items(it could be counters orpasta shells or buttons orm&ms anything you canfind!), and place these onhis spots.
Take turns to roll the 10-sided dice and take away that number of counters.
10 Sided Dice
On a separate piece of paper write the number sentence to match e.g. 20 - 8 = 12 12 - 2 = 10
The first person that has no more counters on their octopus spots is the winner!
Mathematics
1. Number Sense Bingo You will need a game board (see attached Tue Maths), coloured pencils or counters.
An adult will read out the calling cards in a random order.
The student will have to colour/cover the correct number that corresponds with the calling card. Once a student has coloured/covered 1 row of numbers they yell BINGO. Suggest using counters/coins etc to play multiple times as opposed to colouring page. After playing it is a good idea to continue to ask the questions on the calling cards to assist in building students’ whole number and number sense skills.
