Scholarship Information

4 Coca-Cola Scholarship

The application is now open. Merit based scholarship. Applicants should have strong leadership skills, GPA 3.0, extracurricular activities, including community service. Scholarships range from $10,000 to $20,000. Applicants must apply online at

BigSun ScholarshipAll student athletes are eligible for this awardMust be a senior attending a post secondary institute and currently involved in a sport at that institution or for more infoDeadline: June 22, 2012Amount of Award: $500 NASSP/Herff Jones Principals Leadership Aware Scholarship Program Ranging from $1000-$12,000 will be awarded 100 seniors from 50 statesWinners are selected by leadership skills, academic record, volunteer work, etc.

Free College Application WeekSeniors should identify beforehand the colleges to which they wish to apply.Seniors should also complete in advance as much of the college admission applications as possible. Free College Application WeekLab 408 will be available for students to work with Guidance in completing their actual admissions applications. Seniors must sign up before Tuesday, November 15th in order to participate in Free College Application Week. Use of lab only during non-core course periods.SAT & ACT AnnouncementSeniors and Juniors: If you eat free or reduced lunch you may be eligible for a fee waiver for the SAT Test and College Applications. 12SeniorsSENIORSJust a Reminder:The Principals Leadership Award Scholarship is due in Guidance Friday, November 18, 2011. Seniors interested in taking the compass test for any Community College in the state of NC need to sign up in the guidance office. The first 23 students will be tested on February 7, 2012 @ 8:30am. Transportation will be provided to RCC. For additional information, see Ms. Venega in guidance.ATTENTION SENIORSSeniors planning on going on the Senior Trip:The first deposit deadline has been extended until Friday, November 18. 15 seats need to be filled!! Please see Ms. Demetrice in Guidance for more info. Attention Seniors:Friday, November 18th, 2011 during 2nd period will be the last day to register for your FAFSA pin#. If you have no complete your pin #, please come to 408 lab.
