The tournament started out to be a close affair from the very start. First string results s howf ed each league in possession of one point with the Olympic B's and Providence Fraternal tied for their point. The Olympics took the point by outscoring their rivals in the second string which wound up 3-3-2, Providence Frat­ernal having the 2.

Immediately following their triumph the Olympics decided to prolong their season long enough to challenge the Beth Israel league to a championship rolloff.

No less than 81 strings of 100 or better were posted by the 60 keglers. The Olympics had 33, Knights of PJthl;is 2Z and Prov­idence Fraternal 26.

Final plans for a cqrnerstone supper to be given Sunday by the Sisterhood of Ahavath Shol­om ·synagogue were made at a meeting last week.

A cake made to resemble the cornerstone of the proposed new synagogue will be displayed dur­ing a candlelight ceremony. There will be .musical entertain· ment by Irene Polikoff, soloist, accompanied by Dorothy Click. The proceeds from the supper wil\ be given to the building fund. ·
