Old Mormon Reservoir Bridge gets a lift! Up we go!

ounty and contractor crews briskly levitated and hauled away, last week, the deck from the Camas Creek main channel bridge on the approach to Mormon Reservoir. The lift marked the beginning of the County’s fast-track project to restore road access

to the reservoir. The bridge deck segment seen above enjoyed a previous life, decades ago, as part of the deck on the earlier incarnation of the Perrine Bridge over the Snake River, north of Twin Falls. The aerial photo at left by Winston Ellis shows the crane, the creek channel, and the temporary bypass bridge built by the County. ❦
