Chapter IINTRODUCTION

1.1 Object of The Research Study

One of the best things about conducting project is that one can learn concept / ideas a multiple ways ,through reading , hearing , picturing concept in mind , touching and even manipulating objects .Those are the essential moralities of learning .Demonstration of previous knowledge is possible by applying Classroom concept to a real project. Why to conduct this research ?

Day by day the global climate was change in India. The changes of climate are very harmful to every human beings in the world. So I was select the topic of Indian Climate Change & in their topic we find the problem of changes, causes ,solution and the proper way of conclusion of the research .

1.2 Selection of The Topic For The Study

Topic selection is the one of the important aspects of the project. It decides the courses of action to be followed . The topic selection should be such that it helps in understanding the problem ,causes and important of the global climate change .

Selection of topic should be of social interest . Hence this topic was much more vital as lot of changing for the global climate .Day by day climate was change and the effect of climate changes is very difficult to the world . So we select this topic to study of why climate was change in the world and its importance .

*Problem of climate change *1. Pollution:Pollution of air, water and soil require millions of years to recoup. Industry and motor vehicle exhaust are the number one pollutants. Heavy metals, nitrates and plastic are toxins responsible for pollution. While water pollution is caused by oil spill, acid rain, urban runoff; air pollution is caused by various gases and toxins released by industries and factories and combustion of fossil fuels; soil pollution is majorly caused by industrial waste that deprives soil from essential nutrients.

2. Climate Change:Climate change is yet another environmental problem that has surfaced in last couple of decades. It occurs due to rise in global warming which occurs due to increase in temperature of atmosphere by burning of fossil fuels and release of harmful gases by industries. Climate change has various harmful effects but not limited to melting of polar ice, change in seasons, occurrence of new diseases, frequent occurrence of floods and change in overall weather scenario.3. Over population:The population of the planet is reaching unsustainable levels as it faces shortage of resources like water, fuel and food. Population explosion in less developed and developing countries is straining the already scarce resources. Intensive agriculture practiced to produce food damages the environment through use of chemical fertilizer, pesticides and insecticides. Overpopulation is one of the crucial current environmental problem.*Causes of Climate Change *The earths climate is dynamic and always changing through a natural cycle .There are two types of causes which are as follows :-

Types of causes :

1)Natural Cause:-

There are a number of natural factors responsible for climate change . Some factors are very harmful for the nature for ex.:-

a) Drought

b) Earthquake

c) Overpopulation

d) Pollution

e) Ocean Current

f) Volcanoes .

2) Human Causes :-Climate change can also be caused by human activities, such as the burning of fossil fuels and the conversion of land for forestry and agriculture. Since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, these human influences on the climate system have increased substantially. Consumerism has increased by leaps and bounds, creating mountains of waste. Also, our population has increased to an incredible extent. Following is the human factors are responsible for climate change :

a) Construction

b) Industries

c) Transport

d) Consumption

e) Tree cutting

1.3 Objective of The StudyThe objectives of the study are as follows:

* To study for changing climate in India.* To identify the problem of climate change

* To find out the solution of the problem of changing climate

*To study of the importance of climate change

*To find out the effect of climate change

* To get a proper conclusion .

1.4 Research MethodologyA) Definition :According to Robert Bourn.

Research is a systematic investigation to finding a solution of the problem . Research is a process of gain a new knowledge . Research is a logical and systematic search for new and useful information on a particular topic.

B. Types of Research : QUANTITATIVE RESEARCHThis research is based on numeric figures or numbers. Quantitative research aim to measure the quantity or amount and compares it with past records and tries to project for future period. In social sciences, quantitative research refers to the systematic empirical investigation of quantitative properties and phenomena and their relationships.APPLIED RESEARCH Applied research is designed to solve practical problem of the modern world, rather than to acquire knowledge for knowledges sake. The goal of applied research is to improve the human condition. It focus on analysis and solving social and real life problems.QUALITATIVE RESEARCH Qualitative research presents non-quantitative type of analysis. Qualitative research is collecting, analyzing and interpreting data by observing what people do and say. Qualitative research refers to the meanings, definitions, characteristics, symbols, metaphors, and description of things. Qualitative research is much more subjective and uses very different methods of collecting information, mainly individual, in-depth interviews and focus groups.

1.5 Limitation of The Study Global climate change is seriously affected the ecosystem . Difficult to convenes the people about global climate change .

Difficult to reduce global climate change and increase the agricultural area .

Difficult to control all types of diseases which is created from global climate change .

Difficult to reduce the all types of pollution.

Difficult to increases green house gases .

1.6 Rational of The Study

Rational of study refers to the worth and utility of the study from the future point of view. The project gives the live experience of the various aspect that is helpful for future .The project provide the opportunity to understand the concept of global climate change , its impact and limitation. It creates the awareness among the people.Natural environment on earth is gradually destroyed by human beings because some one fells trees and catches wild animals at ones own will. Air pollution also brings about many problems, such as ozone level of the earth being destroyed ,filling of sour rain the earth seens to carry for harm of human beings . Water pollution from goal course and garbages effect to quality of water deeply .These global climate change above look like killers to harms our health step by step.

Chapter IIConceptual Discussion About The Topic

2.1 - Topic Under StudyClimate changea term used to describe trends in the earth's climate. For example, Scientists see that the planet's average temperature is rising. This affects wind and ocean currents as well as yearly amounts of rain and Snow. Climate change affects different parts of the world in different ways.Global warmingrefers to the general increase in the earth's average temperature, which causes changes in climate patterns across the globe. The earth's average temperature has been increasing over the last century.Greenhouse gasesare carbon dioxide and methane, mostly caused by human activity. Greenhouse gases are in the atmosphere, absorbing and holding heat, which causes earth's temperature to rise.2.2 Various CaseIndian Impact Climate change will make monsoons unpredictable. As a result, rain-fed wheat cultivation in South Asia will suffer in a big way. Total cereal production will go down. The crop yield per hectare will be hit badly, causing food insecurity and loss of livelihood. The rising levels of the sea in the coastal areas will damage nursery areas for fisheries, causing coastal erosion and flooding. The Arctic regions, Sub-Saharan Africa, small islands and Asian mega deltas, including the Ganga and Brahmaputra, will be affected most.Worse still, Pachauri said, total agricultural land will shrink and the available land may not remain suitable for the present crops for too long. The report also predicts huge coastal erosion due to a rise in sea levels of about 40 cm resulting from faster melting of glaciers in the Himalayan and Hindukush ranges. It can affect half-a-million people in India because of excessive flooding in coastal areas and also can increase the salinity of ground water in the Sunderbans and surface water in coastal areas.Indian StandIndia has been arguing at all climate negotiations that though it is among the top 10 emitters of carbon dioxide, the per capita emission is still one-sixth of the global average. Further, it has managed an 8 per centgrowth with only a 3.7 per centgrowth in energy consumption. India may oppose any move to seek its commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and will ask the developed world to transfer Intellectual Property Rights with the clean technologies. The Indian Constitution on a sensitive provision in Article 48-A states, "The State shall endeavour to protect and improve the environment and to safeguard the forests and wildlife of the country." This is a fundamental obligation of the state since its violation has fatal implications. India needs to chart out a roadmap for itself in the light of the report on climate change. Climate change can be mitigated in many ways, such as improving the efficiency of energy - intensive devices, vehicles and buildings, all of which involve direct and indirect gas

Chapter III Analysis of the Data

3.1 Presentation of Information on Climate ChangeClimate change is considered one of the most important environmental issues of our time. This concern reflects the reality that so much of human activity is sensitive to climate change, and that adapting to current and projected rates of climate change could be very challenging. It also reflects the understanding that human perturbation of the climate system is essentially irreversible, for many centuries at least. How much climate change future generations are exposed to will be determined by the actions that we take over the coming decades to reduce human impacts on the climate system.

There is a very strong body of evidence, based on a wide range of indicators, that climate change is occurring, and the climate system is warming. The evidence includes observed increases in global average air and ocean temperatures, widespread melting of snow and ice, and rising global sea level (in response to the addition of water from melting snow and ice and the expansion of water when warmed). Plants and animals are responding to climate change in ways that are consistent with the observed warming with repercussions throughout natural and managed environments.

Although climate change can be caused by both natural processes and human activities, the recent warming has been largely attributed to human activity, primarily the release of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. These gases enhance the insulating properties of the atmosphere, reducing heat loss, thereby warming the planet. Continued emission of these gases is the primary cause for concern about climate change now and into the immediate future. Particularly important is the emission of carbon dioxide, which is released through the combustion of carbon-based fossil fuels. In Canada, over 80 % of total national greenhouse gas emissions are associated with the production or consumption of fossil fuels for energy purposes.

As carbon dioxide stays in the atmosphere for a long time, levels of carbon dioxide continue to build-up in the atmosphere with ongoing human emissions. Even with human emissions eliminated, atmospheric levels of carbon dioxide would fall very gradually as natural processes slowly remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. This means that past emissions from human activity continue to affect the climate system for a very long time.

The potential impacts of climate change are far-reaching, affecting our economy, infrastructure, and health, the landscapes around us, and the wildlife that inhabit them. More specific impacts are discussed in recent reports fromNatural Resources CanadaandHealth Canada.3.2 Analysis of The DataFor this project to get information by the individual distribute questionnaire among the 100 peoples in various place in Nasik and take review and then reached and the conclusion of this project .Questionnaire:Q-1] Do you think if there is a change in the environment?1.Yes

Thanking You.!!!

The Conclusion confirms that global warming is the major challenge for our global society. There is very little doubt that global warming will change our climate in the next century. So what are the solutions to global warming? First, there must be an international political solution. Second, funding for developing cheap and clean energy production must be increased, as all economic development is based on increasing energy usage. We must not pin all our hopes on global politics and clean energy technology, so we must prepare for the worst and adapt. If implemented now, a lot of the costs and damage that could be caused by changing climate can be mitigated._1505296929.wmf
