TAKE A TRAIN, GRAB A CAB, RIDE A TROLLEY... We are urging people to travel to the festival by public transport. A number of key roads into Katoomba will be closed to traffic and open for pedestrian access only. For train timetable and information, visit www.sydneytrains.info Blue Mountains Explorer Bus: Picks up on highway in front of Hotel Gearin and at Clarendon Guest House in Lurline Street. Trolley Tours & Blue Mountains Bus Co. Services: Pick up outside Clarendon in Lurline Street, on corner of Lurline and Gang Gang Streets, and in Goldsmith Place near Hotel Gearin. The Parade does NOT end at the top of Katoomba Street. It keeps going around the corner along Main Street to Yeamans Bridge roundabout and up Parke Street ending at Carrington Cellars (see map). So be sure to spread out. You won’t miss anything, we promise! GRAND PARADE The Grand Parade starts at 11.30 am but it is a good idea to get into position along Katoomba, Main and Parke Streets by 11.00 am so you don’t miss anything. If you are part of the parade, assemble at Katoomba Public School oval (Merriwa Street entrance) no later than 10.30 am. d SAMBA NINJA DRUMMING WORKSHOPS WITH TOM THE POM Held at Katoomba Public School Hall from 9:30 am. Learn some simple rhythms and be the stars of the parade. This event and the troupe’s part in the parade are very popular. Complementary ID bands for kids! Winter Magic Festival sees more and more attendees each year and understands that it’s easy for little ones to get lost in a big crowd. Parents can grab FREE children’s identification bands from 9am at the Winter Magic Festival Info Stand located at the top of Katoomba Street near the train station. While there you can purchase a Winter Magic Festival Keep Cup or make a donation to support this terrific volunteer run community festival! If you do lose track of a child, the pick up points are: 1 Winter Magic Festival Info Stand, 2 GalleryONE88 and 3 Shop 2 Civic Place (WMF Base Camp). See map for locations. KIDS I.D.
