Done by the Fire at Tarpon Springs Tuesday NightPeople Will Rebuild at Once Tarpon Springs Jan 9Firc that destroyed a large section of Tavjon Springs caused losses of over 4sff0- and destroyed sixteen buildings tart ed at 11 clock last night and could not be extinguished owing to the lask of varer supply The largest conflagration ever wit- nessed ¬ on the west coast spread through the city for four hours last night and the people were forced to stand idle and see valuable property consumed by the flames because there was no water with which to fight the fire Greektown the section occu ¬ pied by the spongediving colony was I tint affected the fire starting at the Angelousi restaurant on Stafford av enua but the flames spread to the business portion and among other buildings consumed the Atlantic Coast Line depot half a dozen gen ¬ eral stores two saloons a church and a coffee shop The fire is supposed to have started from a defective gasolene stove in the Greek restaurant Very little
