The March Children's Coin Collection raised $86.61 for Stepping Stones Shel-ter. Stepping Stones is a Rockville homeless shelter for families with children. The money will be used to provide grocery store gift cards to families moving out of the shelter and to help with transportation for a month for a working parent.

RPC is participating in One Great Hour of Sharing! One Great Hour of Sharing supports water pro-jects, hunger relief, disaster relief, and empowerment all over the world. On Sunday March 19, Rev. Doty distributed Fish Banks to the congregation and the children. She encouraged us to think of the needs of others, and add something to the fish each time we find ourselves tak-ing something for granted or treat ourselves to something extra. Please think about these themes and bring your fish banks back to church on Palm Sunday, Sunday April 9th. They will also be ac-cepted on Easter Sunday, April 16th.

Agnus Dei

This image is known as the Agnus Dei, Latin for “Lamb of God.” When pictured standing and with a banner, it represents the risen Christ, victorious over death. John the Baptist, seeing Jesus approach, famously declared, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29, NIV). In Revelation, too, Jesus is portrayed as a lamb who was

slain but now reigns triumphant.
