PORTRAITS

Here is a selection of some of my Portraits that I was commissioned to do, as there was a small crèche where I was living at the time….

I love drawing portraits of people but as a child i used to draw wildlife and pass these drawings onto members of my family.

It is true that an artist would never be satisfied with his/her own work, as they would always be able to pick out the faults which other people may not notice...

MY PORTRAITS

BULL MASTIFF PORTRAITHere is a portrait i did of our family pet dog, she is a large Bull Mastiff & loved by everyone, so i thought it would be the perfect gift to one of our kids...

I would often take photo’s of the various stages to show the progression from start to finish...

LANDSCAPE PORTRAITS

There is a large market for drawing famous people from the movies or from the music industry, I would prefer to draw on a large scale and once my layout was in proportion I would have the option to either transfer it onto canvas, use different mediums or scale it down…

SKETCHES

It is always a great idea to trace the initial sketch, incase something were to go wrong further down the line, then you will have a backup of the origional drawing.

Maybe a potential client would also want a drawing of somebody that you have already drawn and you can refer to your trace templates as to speed up the process...

CARTOON CHARACTERS

I discovered after drawing animated characters for a length of time, that the drawing style would sometimes be seen in portraits of real people after that process, like charicatures...

KIDS ANIMATION

I started these drawings as a father to his daughter, they were origionaly to colour in, bit it turned into yet, another project. I initially drew eight different characters in pencil & then drew their outline in black professional markers of different widths. I left out most of the colour so as to colour them in later using indian inks. I scanned each picture and digitalised them into PNG format images...

KIDS ANIMATION

These images can then be used again, by printing off onto different types off paper, and colour in using different mediums…
