HOW YOU GET PRIAPISM

Roughly about 25% of the cases are caused by leukemia, sickle cell anemia, metastatic carcinoma, or other diseases of the nervous system, while all the 75% rest is still not clear.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE SYSTEM AND DOES IT TRY TO FIX ITSELF?

Blood is trapped inside the penis, and if the blood is not drained out of the penis then is can lead to erectile dysfunction and permanent scarring.

The body tries to fix itself by trying to pass out the blood that is trapped inside the penis.

WHAT MEDICINES ARE NEEDED AND IS PRIAPISM CURABLE?

Injection of alpha-adrenegic sympathomimetic is used to limit blood flow, so when the drug wears off more blood is released out of the penis.

There is no cure for priapism but can be treated.
