Dear Mr. Grayson:

Today we got authority from the Department to pay for

the office furniture we already have installed -- the filing

cases -- and I wish you would write a warrant for $155.80 and

After I make up the rest of the expense accounts I

This morning I let the contract for a book of 500

will be over next week and I will have him sign up a lot of them

and then I will send the book to you, if, in the meantime, there

is no passing.

Dear Mr. Grayson:

Will you please write a warrant for the Chief for his

expense money, amounting to $48.90, and send to me right away,

Mr• Taylor thought we had better not put in the pullman fare

until we found: out about it; and if he has spent it we can pay

it in the next account. He also. out out the atenographio and

Notary fees, since he is entitled to the services of Mrs,

Anson in WaIdnngton,

I presume you have received your cheek, as it was to

have gone out yesterday. Your wife, I.presume, called me this

morning to know if it had been sent to Yon, stating that if it

had not she wished it might be sent out to her, but I told her

I was sure it had already been sent to you,
