BELIEFS ACTIVITY Each writes down their own family

belief (2 minutes). Share beliefs in groups of 4-6

people. Seek to understand (4-6 minutes).

Come to consensus on beliefs the whole group agrees on. Write them down (4 minutes).

Large group develops a belief list (5-10 minutes).

Clarify terms on the list. Dialogue about term where there

is not agreement. Establish small groups to dialogue

and seek best knowledge.

CLASSROOM AGREEMENTSCLASSROOM AGREEMENTS

Through a discussion with the children about their values and beliefs, students will build a common picture of how they will work togehter in the classroom. From this discussion students will establish a classroom agreement. Each agreement will be unique, buthte theme of respect and working as a tem from the school belief will be a common focus. The following is just one example of a classroom agreement.

Each teacher will send home a letter including their classroom agreement.
