VOCABULARY Ratio-

A comparison of two numbers by division. Can be written as:

a : b a b

Rate- when a and b of a ratio represent quantities

measured in different units. The numerator is one unit, the denominator is a

different unit.

Unit Rate- When the denominator of a rate is 1.
