QUT CORPORATE IDENTITY MANUAL Logo – Positive and Reverse 4.1

The QUT logo is a registered trademark and its use by any external organisation is subject to the approval of the Manager, Visual Communication Services.

The QUT logo is the only logo to be used to represent the university and sub-centres of the university are not permitted their own logos unless special approval is granted.

It is important that the logo is always used correctly and the guidelines set down in this manual should be followed carefully.

Digital versions of the logo are available to download in various formats from the Marketing and Communication website at www.marketingcomm.qut.edu.au

The logo is preferably used without the University name attached.

The QUT logo is never to be typeset, drawn manually or using computer graphics software. It must be reproduced from an approved digital file through a high-quality printing method. Care should be taken not to distort the logo when resizing digital versions. The logo should not be reproduced smaller than 7.5mm on printed publications.

Wherever practical, the standard corporate colour should be used. See Section 3. However, if printed on applications which use a colour other than corporate blue, the logo may be used in that colour provided there is sufficient strength of contrast.

Any variation to the guidelines in this manual for specific applications will only be undertaken by Marketing and Communication with the approval of the Manager, Visual Communication Services. example

QUT CORPORATE IDENTITY MANUAL Logo and University Name 4.5

The university name is used in one line under the logo as a composite graphic with the logo – maintaining its size and spacing proportions in relation to the logo when enlarged or reduced.

The university name uses the Helvetica Neue Bold type face and should never be typed or typeset separately.

Where design or space restrictions limit the use of the standard, one-line version, an alternative form is available. This places the university name, in Helvetica Neue Bold, as two lines adjacent to the logo as shown. This is also a composite graphic and should not be typed or typeset separately.

Digital versions of the logo with or without the university name are available to download in various formats from the Marketing and Communication web site www.marketingcomm.qut.edu.au

External organisations wishing to use the QUT logo and university name must first seek permission from Marketing and Communication department and all artwork should be approved by the Manager, Visual Communication Services before finalising print or web.

Care should be taken not to distort the logo when re-sizing digital versions.

Permitted usage for faculties, schools and other sub-centres of the university is referred to in Sections 4.5, 4.6, 4.7, 4.8, 4.9.

Further variation of the QUT logo and university name for any specific application will only be undertaken by Marketing and Communication with the approval of the Manager, Visual Communication Services.
