PREMIUM ACCESS Unlike many private providers, QUT College is operated by the university, with access to all the same virtual education platforms.
QUT College employs a range of current online learning management systems, teaching tools and platforms. Excellent utilisation of these educational platforms ensure that lessons remain student-centred and interactive, and the quality of teaching and learning is of the highest standard. Our dedicated teaching and administrative staff are highly qualified, with extensive experience in teaching and supporting international students. Many of our staff speak a second language (or two!), which means that we are very well-positioned to understand and appropriately address the needs of our leaners. Moreover, we have a full-time Student Activities and Engagement Officer who creates and manages social activities outside class time for both our online and onsite learners. At QUT College, we understand that successful language acquisition requires an optimal learning environment and that support and wellbeing play a critical role in this. Therefore, we make supporting students a priority.

Curriculum and assessment development undergo rigorous planning and development processes to ensure they meet (and surpass) expected industry standards. Students attending the College are very well prepared for further academic studies. In fact, 1500+* students and over 90% of English for Academic Purposes and Diploma students progress to a degree each year.

General English (GE) Program
Our General English program aims to improve your competency, fluency and confidence in English language usage across all four macro-skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. These skills are integrated grammar and vocabulary study. Our GE program is structured to support you to become and independent learner and to develop study skills and strategies to support progression and mastery.

• Range of levels to suit all learners, from Elementary (CEFR A2) to Advanced (CEFR C1)*
• Study with learners from all over the world e.g. China, South America, the Middle East, South-East Asia, North Asia and Europe).
• Lessons are student-centred and interactive.

• Personalised feedback, including a Progress Report after every 5 weeks of study.

platforms to deliver unique and exciting online classes. These
platforms allow our teachers to provide instant digital feedback in

English for Academic Purposes (EAP)
Our English for Academic Purposes (EAP) programs are designed to improve your English and provide a direct entry pathway into QUT degree programs, as well as Foundation and Diploma programs.
Why study EAP?
• Advance your academic writing skills to produce quality essays and reports
• Build your confidence speaking in tutorial and workshop settings and giving academicpresentations

QUT Clubs and Societies
QUT College students can join a range of QUT clubs and groups. Through clubs and societies,
students can join in social activities and meet new like-minded friends with a lively and diverse social
calendar of events each year. Some examples include:
• Electrical Engineering Student Society: gives electrical engineering students opportunities
to put their education into practice and make industry links.
• Women in Technology: meet like-minded women studying in technology, and network
through social events, professional development opportunities and industry nights with high-
profile companies
• The Dub: for students interested in interactive and visual design, architecture, interior design,
landscape architecture, and fashion.
• QUT Music Society: bands and groups play during lunchtimes at O-Week and at regular
events throughout the year
• QUT Cliffhangers: one of the most active rock-climbing clubs in Queensland
• Enactus: brings together student, academic and business leaders through entrepreneurial
projects that create sustainable changes in the community.
