OPEN HOUSE will be Sunday March 29th from 12noon to 4pm,this time, since we are closed Easter and enjoying what the Easter Bunny brought. To highlight a few of the upcoming classes, Linda Ballard will be here teaching Stars Over St. Louis, plus we have a quick easy baby quilt class called Easy Streets, a wallet fit for the Divas in the crowd, a new class and pattern from Ingrid “Art Deco Bouquet”, a popular One Block Wonder quilt, Sue has more flowers Hollyhocks and Poppy; Donna has a sweet miniature called My Flower Garden, and Helen is teaching a dramatic Bargello quilt. QUILT RUSH is just around the corner April 15th thru the 19th. The theme is “CONNECT THE DOTS”, so by the time you are done you will be dizzy for dots. Fifteen stores, great specials, food and fun. Plan an adventure with friends. Can you believe it, soon you will start seeing Halloween and Christmas fabrics. Among the early arrivals will be Tree-licious and Joy and Wonder for Blend Fabrics; Joy Holiday in City from In the Beginning; Jingle, Christmas Joyeux Noel (French General) and Cold Spell (Laundry Basket) from Moda; and Haunted Hill, Home for Holidays and Santa’s on His Way from Clothworks. We will be getting batiks from Hoffman, Island Batiks, Anthology, Batik Textiles and Blank. From Moda, we will be receiving Sticks and Stones (Laundry Basket) which has a wonderful butterfly quilt to make and Bon Voyage (French General). Also there are a variety 1800’s prints coming from Marcus Brothers, and a line from Windham Fabrics called Edith. Lastly, a cute children’s line called Bugapalooz from In the Beginning to brighten the shelves. ONE BLOCK WONDER Friday, April 10 AND 24 10am-3pm Just one fabric makes an unusual and beautiful quilt top. Guidelines for fabric selection are in-cluded in the book and supply list. THE PERFECT BINDING Sunday, May 17 12noon-4 This binding method is an alternate to the continuous bias binding method. This method has mitered corners when flipped over on the back for the blind stitch. There is a great kit included in the price that has all sorts of great gadgets. Nancy Zeterberg $25.00(*&**)

STARS OVER ST. LOUIS Friday, May 22 10am-4pm This quilt consists of two blocks...one with stars and chains and the second one is for the most part a solid block with some corner piecing. What makes this quilt so stunning is the way the solid block changes color depending on where it falls in the quilt. POSTAGE STAMP BASKET QUILT Saturday, May 23 10am - 4pm Grab your “Scrap Bag” and join me for a day of making cute little basket blocks from the 1978 postage stamp. I made this quilt in the mid-90s from Alex Anderson’s first book, Quilts for Fabrics Lovers and from there my love of scrap quilts grew. BIRD DANCE WORKSHOP Saturday (no April), May 16, June 20 When traveling Sue Spargo saw Sicilian antique hand-painted floor tiles. The tiles had a distinctly folk-art appearance and became the inspiration for this 30 block wool masterpiece. Diana Tatro $30/session
