Set Up: 1. Laythespreaderdownsothatitrestson

thefrontofthehopper.

2. LifttheU-barandbrace,thenspreadthesidesofthebraceandinserttheendsinto the holes in the U-bar.

3. Placethespreaderuprighton itswheels.

4. Raisethetophalfofthehandletotheuprightpositionandhandtightenthewingnuts.

2. Turnratecontroltocorrect setting listed in the Spreader Setting sectiononthebackofeachpackageofScottsproductunder“Scotts®Drop Spreaders”

3. Toapplyproduct,beginwalkingatasteady pace(approx.4ft./sec.), thensqueezeand hold trigger (Seediagramsbelow)

4. Whenfinished,sweepanystrayparticlesfromhardsurfacesbackontolawnarea.

5. Neverleaveproductinthespreader.Pourleftovermaterialbackintothepackageandsealthepackagetightly

Aftereachuse,washthoroughlyoverthelawntoremoveallmaterial clinging to the spreader.Hotwatermayberequiredattimestoremovestubbornresidue.Allowthespreadertodrythoroughlyinthesun. Storeyourspreaderinaclean dry place.

For Rectangular Lawns:Applytwoheaderstripsacrosseachendforaturningarea.Thenapplybackandforthinthelongestdirection.

For Irregular-Shaped Lawns:Applyoneheaderstriparoundtheentirelawnforaturningarea,thenapplybackandforth.

Spreader Overlap: Toavoidstreaksormisses,overlapspreader patterns approximately 1-1/2feet(50cm).Donotleavespreaderopenwhenmakingturns.
