Keep cool!The CBF cyclefreeze 500-1000-2000 – the simple and

precise way to attain the ideal portioning temperature.

The CBF Cyclefreeze facilitates precise surface freezing for pieces

of meat within a period of 6-12 minutes, depending on size

and temperature of the product - and all without the need for

additional personnel.

OperationThe CBF is a blast freezer that operates in cycles. Through an

infeed flap the operator slides-in the meat pieces and pulls

back the drawer. The transport chain then indexes by one

cycle to the next basket.

The operator continually repeats this process. The control unit

times the baskets so that once the set time has elapsed (e.g. 8

minutes), the first tempered products arrive back at the door

and are discharged.

The meat pieces are inserted side-by-side into the basket and

then rotated through the tempering unit for 6 to 12 minutes.

The meat is then removed just before portioning. This results

in a very thin crust of 2 to 3 mm (5 to 10%) instead of 5 to

10 mm, which clearly increases the product quality.

• Excellent portioning quality due to thin layer of frost

• Thin tempering crust ensures high-quality meat

• Minimum tempering affects only a few millimetres of the meat’s

surface. The meat is portioned prompt after crusting

• Break control with temperature retention in the event of line

stops (when changing foil or tags, etc.)

• Consistent crusting even though residence time increases

• No loading and unloading needed during line stop.

• Savings in labour - both the CBF and GMS (portioning machine)

can be operated simultaneously by a single person

• Less energy consumption; economic tempering

• Space-saving vertical chain transport system - Cryogenic

freezing tunnels can be up to 6 to 10 m in length

• Energy saving; infeed and discharge flaps remain closed most

of the time

• Thin tempering crusts save a significant amount of energy

• During breaks, fans and cooling are switched off to save

energy

• Production costs of approx. EUR 0.4 cents per kg of meat
