Questions for Week One—Crazy Serving | Mark 10:42-45 Open What does a servant heart look like in your personal experiences? Discuss* Have you ever experienced a lord-over-you type of person? How did this make you feel? How counterculture is it to live your daily walk with the belief that, in order to be greater, you must be a servant to others? Who do you know that you have seen live this out in a great way? How specifically did this person serve others in a way that made you remember them? The Creator came to serve. Why do you think we tend not to follow that example? In what ways can you follow the example of Jesus? Reflect Timothy Keller says, “It is because we have received radical spiritual generosity that we can be radically generous with those in need.” You have been given this radical generosity that allows you to be radically generous in every aspect of your life. Take time to reflect on the specific ways God has been generous to you. Remember: You have been given this unique generosity so that you can uniquely give it to others in order to glorify Jesus. *Use these questions to guide your discussion. Don’t feel like you have to go through all of them and make sure you take time to talk through any questions and observations from either the sermon or the lesson with the group.
