WHAT ARE THE STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES OF MY

PRODUCT?

I have learnt what the strengths and weaknesses of my ancillary products and

music video, meaning that I am able to tackle the weaknesses to ensure that

they are improved to a much higher standard so that my target audience is

more satisfied. The main strengths of the music video according to my target

audience was the range of shots used and the quality of settings, costume

and props used to connote the genre of music. However, the weaknesses

seemed to mainly be parts of the editing according to my target audience. For

example, when the song itself increases in speed as it reached its climax, the

editing may have been more successful if it was faster paced to keep up with

the beat of the song. The main strengths of my ancillary products according

to my target audience were the conventional layout, the colour scheme and

the images used. However the main weakness that was brought forward was

the main fonts used because they didn’t blend as well with the background.

WHAT HAVE I LEARNED ABOUT HOW EFFECTIVELY THE

PRODUCTS HAVE APPEALED TO THE TARGET AUDIENCE

AND WHAT WOULD I CHANGE BASED ON THE FEEDBACK?

I have also learnt which key components of my music video and ancillary

products appealed to my target audience and what I would need to change in

order to have more of a successful response with my target audience. The

components that I would need to change would be the weaknesses of my

products. For example, the editing in the video could have more shot reverse

shots, zooms, eye line matches in order to build up the speed of the editing.

By having the fast paced editing, this will mean that the video will be more

synchronised with the song which will have a positive impact on the audience.

In regards to the title fonts on the ancillary products, I would possibly remove

the white background on the text so that the font will merge much more with

the background. This will make the ancillaries stand out more and look much

more professional and of a higher quality.

HOW WOULD AUDIENCE FEEDBACK HELP ME IF I WAS TO

RELEASE MY PRODUCT?

The audience feedback would have helped massively if I was to release my

product because I was able to communicate with the public who are most

likely to buy the product. This gave me the opportunity to gather their ideas

and views on my products and tell me what needs to be kept, removed or

improved on my products. Overall, the feedback from surveys and interviews

gave me a big insight into what I need to have on the product. This is

because they all had very similar views on my product, meaning that if I was

to release the product, it is likely to have a success with my target audience

because they all seem to agree on most of the ideas.
