What is Representation?This means that media texts are

intentionally composed, lit, written, framed, cropped, captioned, branded, targeted and censored by their producers, and that they are entirely artificial versions of the reality we perceive around us.

We naturally see the world in a kind of shorthand way, finding connections between different character traits, this allows the media to create simplistic representations which we find believable. A Stereotype

We use our own unique storehouse of knowledge about people when we judge them.
