Question 2: Telling stories

Telling stories Artists, craftspeople and designers have often been inspired by stories. Painter and craftsperson Marc Chagall illustrated stories from Russian folklore. Film maker and animator Tim Burton has directed dark, gothic and eccentric fantasy films

based on classic children’s stories. Photographer Kirsty Mitchell has created a photo book called ‘Wonderland’ inspired by stories from her childhood. Julia Feld makes

illustrated ceramic vessels and Faith Ringgold has produced story quilts.
