1199QAS Minimising direct contact We shall be ensuring that all participants have the opportunity to undertake the required skills relative to their course of study however student learnings and assessment will be adjusted to minimise direct contact with shared equipment and each other. Students and staff will also have access to protective personal equipment such as gloves and disinfecting agents as required. QAS will be ensuring: ¬ Screening of student temperatures upon arrival for training ¬ Hand sanitising pre and post any intervention ¬ Class sizes that ensure appropriate social distancing ¬ Adjustment to training and assessment to eliminate direct contact with equipment and other persons ¬ Regular breaks to allow hand washing ¬ Detailed infection control of learning space including workstation, equipment and high traffic areas ¬ Protective equipment will be provided and worn by staff and students where appropriate or as desired. It is vital that any student who feels unwell or shows any symptoms of COVID-19 or a general cold and flu like complaint, remain at home and not attend first aid training or the venue. Bookings will recommence immediately with face to face classroom training commencing the week of June 22nd across the state with the exception of communities that currently remain closed. Medical advice informs us that it is safe to recommence training, however the safety of our staff, students and community remains of upmost importance and we shall be implementing precautions to maintain the wellbeing of all, particularly from an infection control perspective.
