How does the completion of the internship assist the organization?

This project would help the development of the Innovate the Cape program to add greater value to our participants in terms of the educational assistance we provide. We would be able to get higher quality project outputs and give the young innovators the best chance at setting up formal social enterprises. The program would also have better reporting on its impact which will position it well for becoming financially sustainable.

What skills might the intern learn on the project?

They would learn about design thinking pedagogy, have a greater understanding of pertinent social issues in Cape Town, and would learn about social impact program design including theory of change, M&E procedures and reporting.
