CQC Inspection Tricia’s poem

A day off from work, a course to attend

Steve and I went to Euston and then onto Penge

We got our connections, travelled fast on the tube

With hundreds of people, no room to move

We had no idea, that during this spell

At Sibbertoft Manor, there’d been a press on the bell

Holly was summoned, from her office in the yard

The Inspector had come, with his identity card.

Ann was out walking, but replied to her phone

Cut short her walk and dashed up to the home

He had the full tour, was shown around everywhere

With Holly and Ann, a very nervous pair!

He spoke with some residents, not a thing did he miss

In the meantime in London I was in ignorant bliss

He interviewed staff and a visitor too

To get a full picture of all that we do

He inspected all day, leaving late afternoon

For Holly and Ann not a moment too soon!

For this inspection to happen, I’d been waiting so long

And then to have missed it, felt very wrong

I know Holly and Ann did all to impress

And showed this inspector we can be the best

And Steve and I, what can we say?

Totally unaware about this inspection day

This year the National Care-

Home Open Day will be

held on Friday 16th June

2017. The theme will be

Friendship and we will have

a Hog roast and traditional

Ice cream stand. We wel-

come all of you to come

along and visit us on that

day.

Our group trips this year

will be visits to Althorpe

Hall, Leicester Space Muse-

um, Tropical Bird Land and

Bradgate Park. The trips

will be organised over the

next couple of weeks and as

soon as details have been

finalised information will be

circulated to you.
